How to send me a "demo" sample of your song idea without using any music:
1. Click this metronome link.
2. Press the play button and adjust the click (using the slider or the "+ and -")
to the correct tempo of your song. If the songs has 3 beats (like a waltz) adjust the beats slider to 3. Use any other odd time signature but most songs use 4.
5. Record your voice with the tempo of the click sound lightly in the background (using your phone or digital recorder.)
6. Email me the file.
6. I can arrange your music tracks from this rough idea of your song.
Create/ Record your own CD! We'll help you.
The (6) steps to getting started on your CD:
1. Figure out how many songs you want to record and what's currently missing from each song. Are you happy with the lyrics? Music? Arrangements? etc. We can fill in whatever is missing for you.
2. Decide what genre and stylistic direction you want to go in. If you were going to buy it in a music store, what section would your music be featured in? What radio station would play your music? Maybe it's a combination of things? We LOVE diversity!
3. Figure out how many "live" musicians you'd like to have included on the recording versus what will be programmed in a computer. Do you need background singers or live guitars?
4. Decide where you want to record. Do you want to come to our studios in Philadelphia, PA to record? Do you want us to come to you? Is it a live recording at a specific venue? Do you want us to supply the instrumental tracks so that you can record your voice locally at a studio near you? Do you want to do it all over the internet? Email for more details.
5. Decide the best times to record. Do you want to do it all in a day or weekend, spread it out over a period of time or do a few hours here and there?
6. Decide on a budget that you are trying to work around. Really, many times this factor alone determines the best way to cost effectively complete your project.
